Work "ON" your life not "IN" it

I receive weekly emails that I find very helpful from Inner Journey (to give credit) Is it time for you to do a QUARTERLY CHECK UP? To work ON as well as IN your life?
When we only work IN our lives:
- We do things as we have always done them.
- Because we do things as we have always done them, we typically
get the same results.
- Getting the same results reinforces and justifies our limiting
beliefs that that’s all that is possible for us.
When we only work IN our lives, the details of life may change
but the essence or quality of our life does not. LIFE DOES US.
If we take time regularly to work ON our life:
- We connect with our ideals and a vision of what we want to be,do and have.
- We identify what we can do to move towards our goals.
- We do different things.
- We get more positive results.
- Those new results positively reinforce and justify NEW beliefs that we are worthy and moving forward.
When we regularly work ON our life, we claim our power and confidence to live life to the fullest. WE DO LIFE.
Are you ready to break out of the rut?
Here are simple steps for working ON your life:
- Regularly jump off of life’s treadmill. STOP and take a sanity break. Take time to be quiet, peaceful and still. If possible,get away and change your surroundings. Each week, you might want to take a coffee or lunch time ON YOUR OWN to look at the bigger picture of your life.
- Ask yourself new questions WRITE DOWN your questions, answers and insights.
- Connect with your dreams and vision.
- Ask yourself, "What results have I achieved over the last
period of time (week, month or 3 months)?"
- "What NEW actions will I take NOW to move me towards my goals?"
Then commit to doing them.
- Create an agreement with a trusted person or group to support
you in making changes to reach your goals.
- Meditate daily to clarify your goals, vision and life purpose.
As we focus more often on a bigger picture, our lives begin to
open up for us. We start to believe more in ourselves and in
life’s possibilities.
- Make sense of your subtle voices.
- Achieve a deeper level of learning, order, action and release.
- Calm pent-up thoughts and emotions.
- Develop intuition, creativity and imagination.
- Gain more inner awareness, motivation and inspiration.
