SMOM Tips submitted by: Carmen

clothing/items back and forth

Tip # Tip
1 I had to add this one. At first..i had the WHO CARES what gets sent back, when it gets sent back ect ect ect. Then no matter how hard I tried .....including being up at 10:30 pm washing something that went back the next day after working all day, household stuff, and such....i always recived reminder notes, crappy notes, crappy voicemails, not to mention not ONCE in the entire time we've known one another would she , nor will she ever send ANYTHING back on time, if she did even send it back at all.... ect ect. at first my reaction to those was to say ok if she is going to act like that..>FINE...and I went BACK to not taking care, or a mature approach with the clothes/items. THEN i realised something....I have a SD looking at ME to be the adult in this. So no matter how tired I am, stressed out ect ect ect...no matter what gets sent back tardy, ripped, fadded pourpley bleached....ect ect. NO matter the notes, the vmails....I take care of what she wears from moms with the UTMOST care , send it back (even if thier is only one day in between ) on time , and clean. I look at it like this. It is one less outfit my sd will have to dig out of a trash bag....full of dirty clothes (no im not kidding) to get ready for school in the morning. I put the focus On HER not her mother. So if any of you have THAT battle...just do the right thing. Regardless of how BM acts. Trust me...it wont prove anything to her, and it will aleviate your stress.
4 oh and instead of the popular when all else fails...pray statment....how about FIRST AND FORMOST pray pray pray...then act.
